After breakfast, we transfer you to Hanoi cooking center.

9.30 am. Meet at HCC, enjoy a special “La Han” Vietnamese welcome tea

9.40 am. Brief introduction to Vietnamese cuisine, highlighting the contents of tradition meal.

9.50 am. Take a short walk to the Chau Long Market – Enjoy a tour of the market highlighting the ‘wet’ / unusual fruits / livestock / silk worms, with HCC chefs

10.20 am. Back to HCC and commence cooking class with HCC chefs, take home printed recipes as well as samples of some local fruit, green bean cake, quail eggs, etc.

12.00 pm. On completion of the cooking class, enjoy the meal and a chance to chat with Tracey Lister and Linh , relax in the comfort of the HCC dining area and enjoy a local beer or wine or lemon juice

1.00 pm. Finish Class, receive going home gift and visit the HCC shop with Vietnamese Culinary tools, books, spices etc available for purchase.
Afternoon, we visit the Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, Hilton prison.

Late afternoon we take a cyclo tour for a short excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. In the evening, we enjoy a fantastic traditional water puppet show.

Depart your hotel this morning at 0800 for the 2-hour drive through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam’s first capital, Hoa Lu. Ready the bikes and start the trail route cycling to the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel (most of which has since been destroyed) once covered an area of three square kilometers.

Continue cycling for 1-hour to Tam Coc through stunning limestone karst valleys surrounded by picturesque fields and villages, along the way stop where you wish to take photographs. On arrival in Tam Coc have a Vietnamese lunch. After your meal board your private sampan for a leisurely 2.5-hour cruise. As the boat gently slices through the water, notice the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields giving rise to Hoa Lu’s other name, “Halong on Land”. Should you feel adventurous climb up to Bich Dong Pagoda on nearby Ngu Nhac Mountain, dating to 1428 and comprising three structures: Ha, Trung, and Thuong Pagodas, in ascending order. Following its back by sampan to Tam Coc town before returning to Hanoi by vehicle where you arrive in the late afternoon.


08:00 Pick up at your hotel by our private guide and driver then 3,5 hours scenic drive to Halong

11:30 Arrive at Bai Chay/Halong pier.

12:15 Transfer by tender to the Indochina Sails boat – enjoy Welcome Drink. Receive cruise briefing and check in to cabins and begin cruise.

13:00 Lunch – deluxe Vietnamese and International Set Menu.

Massage service is available beginning after lunch and throughout the cruise.

14.30 Arrive at Titop Island. Enjoy swimming, relaxing on the beach and climbing the steps to the top of the mountain on the island for fantastic views and photo opportunities. Water and towels supplied. We will spend about 45 minutes on the island.

15.15 Transfer back to the boat and sail for approximately 45 minutes to our second destination – the Bat Cave area.

16.15 Arrive at the Bat Cave area. There are two programs to choose from at this time.

One option is a 40 minute kayaking program to the nearby Bat Cave and lagoon and surrounding waters. Kayaking is $10. per person unless already booked as part of your package. Water is supplied.

The second option is to visit the largest floating fishing village in Halong Bay. We will travel to the village on the tender and tour the village for approximately 20 minutes.

18:30 Arrive at Luon Bo area – anchor for overnight.

19:00 Dinner – deluxe Vietnamese & Western Buffet or Set Menu Dinner.

20:30 Evening activities include: film entertainment in the dining room at approximately 9:15, board games and playing cards are available, join squid fishing from the boat with our crew, massage services are available. Also at this time we offer, when possible – depending on weather conditions, an excursion to a nearby squid fishing boat. We travel by tender and you will be able to board the squid boat and see how the local fishermen catch squid and other fish, the excursion lasts about 45 minutes.

21:00 – 23:00 Happy Hour! 


6:45 Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in the dining room.

7:00 Arrive at the Surprise Cave area, there is a small fishing village here. Relax onboard. You may join Tai Chi instruction on the sundeck at

7:00, duraion about 30 minutes.

8:00 Transfer by tender to the Surprise Cave. Walk up the 100 steps to the entrance of the cave and tour on foot for approximately 45 minutes.

9:00 Upon return to the boat take time to freshen up and please check-out of cabins. Please leave heavy luggage outside of the cabins (staff will transfer to the pier). Depart for Bai Chay/Halong pier.

9:30 Enjoy Breakfast Set Menu or Buffet served in the dining room. Settle bills in the dining room after breakfast.

10:00 Relax on the sundeck or in the dining room and enjoy the bay scenery as we approach the pier.

10:45 Arrive at Bai Chay/Halong pier.

11:00 Transfer by tender to the pier. Pick up and drive back to Hanoi Airport for afternoon flight to Hue. Stop on the way for visit to Con Son pagoda, Phu Lang pottery village. Continue to Hanoi airport for the flight. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to the hotel for check in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Hue


Hue is one of places, which has many cultural heritages. Up to now, there is no place like Hue remaining a lot of originally historical vestiges as in this ancient Capital City and favorite destination for all Vietnam Tours. After breakfast, our tour starts with the visit to Imperial Citadel before taking the beautiful boat trip on the romantic Perfume River and visit Hue’s best-known religious site-Thien Mu Pagoda and the Mausoleum of former emperor Tu Duc and Khai Dinh in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. Return to the hotel before having dinner and enjoy the traditional music on Perfume river cruise which is very interesting.

After breakfast, we drive to Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries whose architecture and relaxed lifestyle has changed little over the years and for sure, Hoi An is a wonderful destination and choice for all kinds of Vietnam Tours. This scenic drive passes through the fishing village of Lang Co before climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds. Along the way, stop in Danang to visit the Cham Museum which contains the finest collection of Cham sculptures in the world.

Upon arrival in Hoi An, free to take walking tour of the Hoi An ancient town centre. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 8: HOI AN – MY SON – HOI AN (B/ L)

After breakfast, we invite you an interesting visit to My Son Holy land, once the spiritual capital of Champa Kingdom that dominated South East Asia for nearly a thousand years and occupied most of the central parts of Vietnam from 2nd century to 16th century with very rich in history and culture. Contemplate its remarkable red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries.

Drive back to Hoi An, this afternoon, you are free to visit the former merchants’ homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien pagoda and the colourful riverside market. Overnight in Hoi An.


We start the day (8.15am) with a welcome drink at Hai Café
(98 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hoi An Ancient Town, Tel: 3863210) – our meeting point.

Visit Hoi An’s colourful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.

We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.

On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked.

Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our new 20 metre swimming pool.

After the breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh.

Upon arrival, have lunch and visit the War Remnants or History Museum and the former Presidential Palace. From there, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall are all within walking distance and absolutely nice choices for a free stroll.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.


After breakfast, enjoy a morning drive through typical southern Vietnamese countryside to Tay Ninh Province in the west of Vietnam. At Tay Ninh visit the incredible Cao Dai Great Temple, with architecture that could have come straight from a Walt Disney fantasy and where all the major faiths of the world blend together in a unique religious cocktail.

In the afternoon, visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence where you will understand more about the Vietnam War or American War, a must see Vietnam Tour for any tourists to learn about Vietnam past and present days.

Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Cai Be.

Boarding at Cai Be at noon. Welcome drink, Introduction to the ship and crew, check into the cabins.

Departure towards Cho Lach on the Tien Giang river.

Lunch while on route. Rest on the deck.

Turning into Cho Lach canal for 30 minutes through the traffic of sand and rice barges, in a scenery of fruit drying facilities and wooden ship building yards.

Visit of a village on the banks of river Mang Thit, an opportunity to appreciate the way of life and hospitality of the local inhabitants. Visit of the orchard or rice fields nearby.

Boarding back, complimentary drink as a welcome back on board. Rest on the deck enjoying the sunset. The crew will serve dinner while the Bassac is cruising Mang Thit river.

The Bassac sets anchor just downstream from the little Tra On floating market, for the night.


The ship then departs towards Can Tho.

Arrival in Cai Rang floating market, check out and transfer onto a local boat to visit the floating market, the nearby arroyos and gardens and return to the Ninh Kieu pier.

End of the services on shore at Cần Thơ by mid-morning, transfer to Can Tho airport for the short flight to Phu Quoc VN1010 VCAPQC 1305 1350.
